English for Multinational Operations
Course objectives:
The course “English for Multinational Operations” prepares military
personnel for successful realization in an English-speaking environment
and enhances participants’ ESP skills for effective interoperability.
Learning objectives:
Learn, activate and utilize specific terminology used in
military communications and military planning procedures, as well as
face-to-face conversations and briefings with multinational commanders.
Furthermore, the course aims at:
- Refining pronunciation deficiencies in order to minimize possible misunderstandings during face-to-face and non face-to-face communications with native and non-native speakers;
- Getting trainees acquainted with military environment basics and enhancing effective communication in professional surroundings.
Course Prerequisites:
STANAG 6001 Test 1+1+1+1+ / ALCPT scores of at least 60..
There is no security clearance requirement for course attendance.
Target group:
Civilians, privates, NCO and Commissioned officers from NATO,
EU, PfP and MD countries.
Duration:
Total duration of course 3 weeks (90 hours – 6 hours of
instruction per day, 5 days a week).
Not more than 12 trainees in a classroom.
English Skills for Staff Officers in Multinational Operations
Course objectives:
The aim of the English Skills for Staff Officers in Multinational
Operations is designed to provide staff officers from NATO, PfP, EU, MD
countries with practice in the English language skills, knowledge, and
terminology that are required for participation into multinational
operations.
Learning
objectives:
Improving trainees’ productive and receptive skills in the English
language.
Upon completion of the course, the trainees will:

apply their communicative skills in their area of expertise;

posses linguistic competence needed in multinational operation;

develop consistent understanding of international military
standards;

gain insight into NATO and UN related topics.
Course Prerequisites:
STANAG 6001 Test 2 2 2 2 / ALCPT scores of 80+.
There is no security clearance requirement for course attendance.

Civilians, privates, NCO and Commissioned officers from NATO, EU,
PfP and MD countries.
Duration:
Total duration of course 4 weeks (120 hours – 6 hours of
instruction per day, 5 days a week).
Not more than 12 trainees in a classroom.
